Salon Oman//Omani Legends
Salon Oman was a special two evening event celebrating contemporary Omani culture at Leighton House Museum in London. Salon Oman is a body of work by British artist Dillwyn Smith, inspired by his residency in Muscat. The event was curated by Aisha Stoby and features Dillwyn's work alongside those of contemporary Omani artists Radhika Khimji and Hassan Meer.
Omani Legends & Stories is a project led by Dillwyn Smith during his residency in Muscat, Oman in 2012. Dillwyn invited forty artists from the Omani Fine Arts Society to work with him to produce a series of flags, which were flying on the Chelsea Theatre for the duration of October and November 2013.
