And that's a wrap! After almost a year of preparations, a private view with over 300+ visitors, and close to three months of exhibition time, In the City closed last week. A big thank you to every participant, volunteers/staff, and of course, everyone who came out to visit the exhibition and contribute to its success. We're looking forward to working on more design exhibitions in the near future. In case you missed it, we've uploaded some pictures of the show.

The great people at Nour Festival of Arts were kind enough to share some shots of the identity we made for the Nour Festival of Arts 2013. Photos of the Nour catalogue and banner were taken at "An Evening with Lamees Ibraheem" - an event organised by the Arab British Centre which took place on 17 October at Books for Cooks.

Ghassan Kanafani was a very important Arab writer whose works have influenced many. Kalimat counts Ghassan as highly influential in our inception and we wanted to honour him by redesigning his important pamphlet and making it accessible to all. The text (including all references) was taken and edited from the New Jersey Solidarity website newjerseysolidarity.org/resources/kanafani/. Minimal edits were done, and end notes were transferred to footnotes. Ghassan Kanafani's 1936-39 Revolt in Palestine is a free download. We also hope to make it available in ebook format in the near future.
